I’m a leader and advisor with passion and success in helping organizations modernize service and support operations, reduce risk, achieve security and compliance goals, and turn technology strategy into measurable business outcomes. I build and integrate global, cross-functional teams, internal staff, third-party partners, and systems and solutions integrators into one impactful organization. I bring more than twenty years of engineering, leadership, advisory, and transformation experience to help technology leaders achieve their security, risk, compliance, and business goals.
My experience includes serving as combined CISO and CIO for a healthcare AI technology company delivering care through connected telehealth kiosks, leading a Security Practice at Presidio advising technology leaders and boards across regulated industries, and serving as an AWS Worldwide Partner Tech Leader, where I built a customer Security Center of Excellence and led AWS’s Global Partner Security Initiative. Before that, I scaled a healthcare analytics company’s technology organization through an IPO, and two acquisitions over nine years, modernized technology operations for one of the largest privately held grocers in the US, and built IT infrastructure and support from the ground up at a smart grid startup.
I thrive in ambiguous, high-stakes environments, earning executive trust and confidence quickly, and I care about building sustainable, technically sound, effective, measurable, compliant, auditable, and defensible solutions. I also care about mentoring the people I work with and building teams where people from different backgrounds want to stay and do their best work.
